First Future is seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant for our West Lothian based client. This is an excellent permanent role to join a global organisation with a highly experienced finance management team.


The role will see the successful Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant perform an interesting and varied role where the working week will be split 50/50 into Accounts Receivable and Payroll Functions.


Duties will include:


  • Work with the Payroll supervisor in the payroll department supporting multisite payroll function.
  • Work with Finance Manager and support Accounts Receivable function.
  • Maintain computerised records of all documentation.
  • Speak to colleagues and customers on the telephone day today.
  • Provide general administrative support and any other duties a busy, growing company may require.


To be considered for this Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant role you will be required to display the following skills and experience:


  • Have minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience of working in a busy payroll function using time in attendance systems.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years Accounts Receivable experience of using SAGE or other similar Accounting software
  • Have brilliant Excel skills, be PC literate and able to use Word, Outlook and other software as required to a competent standard.
  • Have great communications skills and able to speak with clients, colleagues and external service providers in a professional manner.
  • Have experience of and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, pressurised team environment with the ability to work on own initiative without direction.
  • Have a flexible, team-oriented attitude and be open to assisting all areas of the business as and when required.


On offer for the successful Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant will be a starting salary of £28,000 per year DOE, Employer Contribution Pension Scheme, Healthcare, 33 days holiday and full on the job training. The role is working Monday to Friday and due to current COVID guidance may require working from home initially but moving to onsite as restrictions lift.
