First Future is seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant for our West Lothian based client. This is an excellent permanent role to join a global organisation with a highly experienced finance management team. On offer is a competitive salary DOE, 33 days holiday, Bonus, 10% pension and other benefits.

The role will see the successful Payroll & Accounts Assistant perform an interesting and varied role where the working week will have a firm focus on payroll (70% split), and provide support to the AR function (30% split). This is a newly created role so the opportunity exists for the successful candidate to mould the role around themselves and make it their own.

Duties will include:

  • Work with the Payroll supervisor in the payroll department supporting multisite payroll function (70%).
  • Work with Finance Manager and support Accounts Receivable function (30%).
  • Maintain computerised records of all documentation.
  • Speak to colleagues and customers on the telephone day today.
  • Provide general administrative support and any other duties a busy, growing company may require.

To be considered for this Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant role you will be required to display the following skills and experience:

  • Proven payroll experience of working in a busy hands-on payroll function using time in attendance systems.
  • Proven Accounts Receivable experience of using SAGE or other similar Accounting software
  • Have brilliant Excel skills, be PC literate and able to use Word, Outlook and other software as required to a competent standard.
  • Have great communications skills and able to speak with clients, colleagues and external service providers in a professional manner.
  • Have experience of and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, pressurised team environment with the ability to work on own initiative without direction.
  • Have a flexible, team-oriented attitude and be open to assisting all areas of the business as and when required.

On offer for the successful Payroll & Accounts Receivable Assistant will be a competitive salary DOE, 10% Employer Contribution Pension Scheme, 33 days holiday, Life Cover and full on the job training. The role is working Monday to Friday and will be based onsite 100% of the time.
