First Future’s, part of a global fortune 500 manufacturing and engineering company has an exciting new vacancy for a Shift Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to join the business at the start of what is an expected time of growth. This role offers great benefits including 10% pension, 33 days holiday (rising to 35), £33,353 remuneration, + overtime opportunities at enhanced rates. As a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias), your responsibilities will include:

  • Working as part of the team performing maintenance duties in a heavy engineering environment. 
  • Actioning planned schedules with a view to maximising manufacturing up time.
  • Performing electrical installations and PAT testing.
  • Dealing with manufacturing breakdowns of plant systems with a view to minimising downtime.
  • Working on a standard weekly 3-shift rotation of days, backs, and nights. (6-2,2-10 and 10-6) Monday to Friday.

You will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineering role (Electrical) with trade qualifications. Must have mid to heavy engineering expereince.
  • Experience in the breakdown and preventative maintenance activities.
  • The ability to read electrical schematic drawings and fault find on equipment.
  • The ability to work at heights and enclosed spaces with good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, hydraulics, machine tools, and mid voltage distribution systems is beneficial but is not essential.
